Winning the Performance Game: Building a Culture Where Talent and Results Thrive

Many organizations believe that the key to performance lies in the right tools, but even the most advanced system fails if it doesn’t fit the company’s culture. In this keynote, Julia Freytag explores the two core ingredients of effective performance management: a state-of-the-art framework and a process deeply rooted in cultural reality. Drawing from SIXT’s high-performance culture, where results matter as much as growth, Julia will share how the company designed a performance process that empowers top talent, addresses low performance with clarity, and serves as the heartbeat of SITX’s broader talent and development ecosystem.

It's easy to miss something you are not looking for - What really matters to employees

From relentless work to the pursuit of daily balance, mindsets have shifted and employees now expect companies to do their part. The definition of success at work is evolving: flexibility, purpose, and wellbeing are no longer “nice to have,” but central to how people choose where and how they work. After years of constant change and disruption, employees are redefining their relationship with work, prioritizing health, autonomy, and meaning over traditional metrics of performance. Yet many organizations still measure engagement through outdated KPIs that fail to capture what truly drives motivation and loyalty. As hybrid models mature and burnout remains widespread, leaders face a critical moment: align company culture with the human side of performance or risk losing connection with their people. Forward-thinking HR and business leaders are moving beyond perks and policies to design cultures where wellbeing becomes measurable, a true business KPI linked to productivity, retention, and growth.

Mastering Organizational Change: Transparent and Inclusive Transformation

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, transparent and inclusive organizational transformation is not just a goal; it is a necessity for long-term success and sustainability. As a speaker, I will delve into the critical components of driving effective change within organizations. This session will highlight the importance of transparency and inclusivity in fostering an environment where all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and motivated to contribute to the transformation journey. We will explore: Transparency: The role of clear, open communication in building trust and ensuring that everyone understands the vision, objectives, and progress of the transformation. Inclusivity: Strategies for ensuring that diverse voices are heard and valued, and that transformation efforts reflect the needs and perspectives of the entire organization. Change Management: Practical steps for managing the human side of change, including addressing resistance, building a coalition of support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Join me as we uncover the keys to successful organizational transformation through a transparent and inclusive approach, ensuring that change is not only implemented but also embraced at all levels.

Transformation Under Pressure: How Strategic HR Balances Business Goals, Legal Boundaries, and People Impact

Restructuring and transformation are often driven by urgent business demands – tight deadlines, global targets, and the pressure to retain key individuals. Yet HR is often brought in too late when the legal, operational, and human complexity is already unfolding. This session explores how strategic HR can and must play a central role from the very beginning: navigating conflicting priorities, ensuring compliance, and enabling fast, sound decisions. Based on real-world experience in multinational environments, it offers actionable insights into how HR can deliver business impact without losing direction – or people – along the way.

Driving Sustainable Health and Well-Being for 150.000+ Employees at AZ Group

The health and well-being of our workforce is a top priority for us and a fundamental aspect of our global People and Culture strategy, as “we care for the health & well-being of our employees”. With our Global Sustainable Health Strategy, we focus on key enablers to maintain and improve the health of our global workforce: we offer our employees globally at least 40% mobile work. To support our employees in their growth and development, every employee spent 60 hours on learning in 2024. We strengthen resilience across the organization through global resilience training mandatory for all our people leaders and Mindfulness Movement training for all employees. Health and well-being are measured via the employee listening Work Well Index plus (WWI+) and Inclusive Meritocracy Index (IMIX). To achieve our targets, we regularly track our key levers such as the global Four Minimum Health Requirements and the global Occupational Health and Safety Management system. Allianz Group offers a broad variety of programs on a global as well as local level regarding the four healthy workplace areas – physical, psychosocial, personal health, and enterprise-community involvement. We promote health beyond our workforce through MoveNow, which is our core social impact and corporate citizenship program aimed at contributing positively to the communities we operate in. The program encourages movement of the Mind, Body, and Society, supporting resilience and helping people become stronger, bolder, and more optimistic through initiatives in sports, health, literacy, employability, education, and other related areas.

Additionally, I will give some food for thought on volunteering ideas with no costs. “If everybody would give back a little bit, the world could be so much better.”
