Véronique Augier Nel

Global Director, Talent & Culture Communications at Accor (300k+ employees)

A graduate of the Lausanne Hotel Management School (EHL) in Switzerland, Véronique started her career in hospitality with the iconic Hotel Lutetia in Paris (France) as a Sales Representative for Corporate and Spanish markets. This was shortly followed by various operational roles such as Night Auditor at Le Meridien Etoile Paris and Guest Relations Officer at Hyatt Regency Paris Madeleine.
After several years in Paris, Véronique was transferred to the Seychelles (Indian Ocean) with Starwood International in 2007 when she was appointed Cluster Director of Quality for two Le Meridien properties. Veronique then joined the FIFA Accommodation team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Johannesburg (South Africa).
She joined Accor in 2011, first based at the Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore. During this tenure, her roles included Director of Communications & CSR Asia Pacific, where she supported Accor’s communications strategy and CSR program across 21 countries. Previously, Veronique was also the Human Resources Marketing Manager in Asia Pacific, overseeing key HR
initiatives such as employer branding, school relationships, and partnerships. In the summer of 2022, Veronique was promoted to a global role based in Paris as the Group’s Director of Talent & Culture Communications.
Born in Ivory Coast (Africa), of French-Indonesian descent, and raised in Singapore, Véronique has over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry, has worked on 4 continents, speaks French & Bahasa fluently, and is a proud mother of 2.
