Started my career as a paralegal and was introduced to the HR function on the back of a merger 20-plus years ago. Completed additional education to master my knowledge of HR, next to a lot of learning on the job. Been in HR ever since, holding various roles, ranging from external HR business consultant in the Netherlands to international HR Director. Currently holding the position of Head of People for CBRE Advisory International, Amsterdam-based, overseeing the HR function for all the countries where CBRE is present outside of the US and Canada. CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, listed at the New York Stock Exchange.
