In a digital age, sales is eCommerce or at least driven by Technology. How does this work in practice? How to sell successfully?
Over the past 15 years, my pleasure has been to move digital Marketing to the forefront of sales. To make digital Marketing accountable for sales success. I´ve added a similar perspective to indirect eCommerce sales (= Online Travel Agencies - OTAs). In a post-covid, digital age all indirect sales channels need to embrace technology. In the airline industry, the big change speaks 3 letters: NDC = New Distribution Capabilities.
Pioneering new ways of Sales in a digital, tech-driven age - I am delighted to enjoy this opportunity. And I am looking forward to exploring, what the future will bring.
Best to do this is for a leading brand of its industry, with a quality promise kept, based on a solid balance sheet.
Specifically, in digital Marketing, I have gone through all stages of development: from Homepage basics and Performance Marketing, to defining target groups properly, looking at the Full Sales Funnel and integrating everything into a Customer Journey Perspective. Probably, this is what people call a 360-degree-marketer. Especially, when combined with new programmatic OOH and CTV opportunities.
New interesting trend: Moving Marketing Senior Exec's into an overall "Customer Experience" responsibility. Lidl has done so, Eurowings as well, i see others moving into this direction, and you can bet, where Singapore Airlines is positioned in this!
When I’m not working, I’m usually travelling to new places, learning new cultures and discovering the hidden charms of each city. I am pretty much a discovery geek, bookworm and foodie at heart, with a little bit of physical exercise and philosophical studies added to the recipe of my life.
In a nutshell, I enjoy meeting new people and understanding new perspectives.
